State of Equinox from 4.2 [message #872738] Wed, 16 May 2012 14:14 Go to next message

Hello all,
I would like to ask you what's the state of Equinox shipped with Eclipse
4.2?

It has a lot of interesting improvements (like console history and
auto-completion) but I'm particularly interested in supporting Jetty
8-backed HTTP supporting Servlet 3.0 spec.

In Bugzilla (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=309529) I've
found it like "RESOLVED FIXED" but on download page
http://download.eclipse.org/equinox/ are listed only 3.7 builds.

Thanks for clarification by some Equinox "old hand"!

Cheers
Libor

Hi,

The equinox download page was broken for a little bit. Not sure when you checked last. http://download.eclipse.org/equinox/ should show 3.8 builds. The next Equinox version (included in the eclipse SDK platform 4.2) is from the Equinox version 3.8 builds. We are currently heading into release candidates for the Juno release which will include Equinox 3.8.

HTH

Tom.
