"Close All" and "Close Other" options [message #872640] Wed, 16 May 2012 10:05 Go to next message

Is there a way to have "Close All" and "Close Other" options (behave as in the eclipse editor)on context menu of a view.

My perspective has n number of views opened and it seems that having these two options would be really handy.

Thanks,
Anthony

This is available if you use the latest 4.2 build, e.g.
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/S-4.2RC4-201206081400/

Hi,

I have similar problem. In our RAP application we do not have possibility to drag and drop the views between placeholders. So one idea, which came into my mind, is to add a new "move" action to the context menu of the tabs of the views. If the user would click on it, I would fire up some dialog, which would let the user to pick a placeholder. This could be a nice workaround. So my question is: how to contribute an action to the context menu of the view tabs in the workbench? Maybe you could help me.

Thanks,

This seems to be the solution: http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/757935/?srch=view+context+menu#msg_757935
