Is there a tutorial/article which explains the creation/deployment of
JAX-RPC based web services...

There is this page on Eclipse WTP web site:

I'm not (yet) a JAX-RCP developer but I think the automatic creation of
web services with the WTP wizards implicitly makes use of JAX-RPC.
Maybe someone else more expert then me could confirm or refute my
assertions.
