How to sort table dynamically? [message #112890] Sun, 22 January 2006 23:46 Go to next message

Can BIRT do the column sorting on the fly? For example, on the column
header click, the sort order will be based on the specific column. Right
now, the sorting on BIRT is predefined.Your help is greatly appreciated.

I haven't done this in BIRT, but you might try using a DOM based sorting
technique implemented by css and javascript, both of which can be used in
with BIRT. Here's a website I referred to in developing such as script
for xhtml/xsl:

http://www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/sorttable/

May be someone else has done this in BIRT.
