TPTP Console thread taking 100% cpu [message #112305] Thu, 13 September 2007 03:48 Go to next message

Hello, I'm rather new to tptp.
I'm trying to use it to get a simple memory profile of my application,
but with little luck.

When I start profiling the cpu jumps to 100% and stays there for a long
time.

Debugging the tptp sdk looks like the problem is in
Console.run()->
DetermineServerReachCommand->
ChannelCommunicator.receiveString().

Any idea on whats is going on?

Thanks and regards,
Sandro

Hi Allessandro,
Same behaviour might be caused by disconnection of Agent Controller since
hyades client doesn't check connection status while reading.
What TPTP build are you using?

Igor

Igor,
I'm using 4.4.0.2 on eclipse 3.3.

Maybe ChannelCommunicator.receiveInt() should check how many bytes are
read from the channel.

Sandro

Alessandro,
you could try fresh dev. 4.4.1 build and open a bugzilla to track this if
the problem remains.
Please send me servicelog.log file fith DEBUG level to investigate the
defect. It is not convinient to post it here since it might be too large.
Regards,
Igor
