Hello,

I am using RemoteAgent Controller 4.2.2 on a hp PA-RISC machine to perform
tests remotely. The version of eclipse, installed on my WIN XP
workstation is 3.2.
I have changed the port to 14315, into
<rac_install>config/serviceconfig.xml. And I restarted the RAC on the
remote machine. RAServer started successfully on that port :

hpx23:/XTP/RAC422/bin> netstat -an | grep 14315
tcp 0 0 *.14315 *.* LISTEN

I have change the port accordingly, into eclipse, on
Window->Preferences->Test->Agent Controller Local Port
and also for
Window->Preferences->Profiling and logging ->Agent Controller Local Port

When I try to launch a test on that machine, Eclipse freezes and I cannot
control it anymore and I have to kill the process.
If I stop the RAC on the remote machine, Eclipse gives me the right
message - RAC is not running on the remote host.

Could you explain me what happens to my test environment and how could I
make my tests work ?
Thank you.

Hi Carmen,
When changing the Agent Controller port in, on the
Window->Preferences->Test->Agent Controller Local Port requires updating
when launching tests (see
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=194752).

This appears to be a defect. What port number(s) did you change on the
remote side (what were the original values)? Can you launch your tests with
the default port number(s)? If yes/yes, please open a defect.

Ideally, we should allow the user to specify the port in the location:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=194754
