I have had trouble installing my JavaScript and C++ IDE's on my computer. I have put my jre in the eclipse folder in each one, but keep getting this error (I've shortened the directory name for reasons of my own):
Failed to load the JNI shared library "C:/Users/Augie/Downloads/eclipse-javascript/eclipse/jre/bin/client/jvm.dll"
or
Failed to load the JNI shared library "C:/Users/Augie/Downloads/eclipse-cpp/eclipse/jre/bin/client/jvm.dll"
If you know how to fix this, please respond.
Regards, Augie
(P.S: my java IDE installed correctly but these two haven't)

Have you made sure you have executable permissions for that DLL file? Are you trying to use a 32-bit download with a 64-bit JRE, or vice-versa?

I think the 64-bit thing may be the problem. I have a 64-bit PC, but my Java is 32-bit.
I'll try the 32-bit now
I do have executable permissions, though
Edit: Yep, the 64-bit thing was the problem. It's working now.
Thanks Nitin Dahyabhai
