DateTime Formatting and validation [message #108279] Thu, 12 January 2006 10:09
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,
There are some user parameters that need to be gathered from the user to
execute the report. These parameters are of various types and one of them
being date and time. I was trying to use the DateTime parameter for this
but it appears that there is no validation being done. I would like the
user to input the date and time as two separate parameters in the format of
MM/DD/YYYY and HH:MM. Is there any display format mask i.e. by default, on
the parameter screen, it has to display "MM/DD//YYYY" and as the user types
in the month, it has to jump to day field and so on. Also, how can I
validate the user input for this? I tried with the parameter's validate
method, it appears to be not working. If any one has got any small sample
code, that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
