Hi,
I'm quiet new to RAP.
I'm loading some data from a server. This will take a while.
And while this i want to show my own Shell with a Gif-Image (loading),
to show that something is loading.
Is this possible that the app notice when it start and show this shell
and when it's finished and close this shell?

Hi,
if you look at the workbench demo application contained in the target
there are some example actions that shows how to use the Job API for
background processing (see package org.eclipse.rap.demo.actions). You
can run those actions by switching to the 'Planning' perspective in the
demo. The actions are located in the toolbar. One shows a Dialog with
ProgressBar to indicate the progress made by the background job. Hope
that fits your needs.
Ciao
Frank
