Sandbox search "install" problem [message #104928] Mon, 15 September 2008 11:57 Go to next message

Hi,

I'm trying to take a look at the Search from sandbox.

Unfortunatly, it complains about a missing "org.eclipse.core.resources" plugin.

Can I use the one directly from my installation? Is there a specific version for RAP?

Thanks,

Patrick

Patrick,

there is no specific version of core.resources for RAP. I am
currently compiling against version3.4 M6, so you should be fine
with any newer 3.4 version.

Please be aware that as there is no adoption of core.resources for
RAP, in most use-cases it doesn't make sense to use the search
plug-in to search in resources (workspaces would be shared among all
sessions). Other usage-scenarios of the search plug-in should of
course work.

Please also keep in mind the general nature of sandbox components
(see http://www.eclipse.org/rap/sandbox.php).
