I also have a problem after upgrading to 2.0 RC. After deploying birt.war
on Tomcat 5.0.28, I get the following:

I have deployed 1.0, 2.0 M2, and 2.0 M# without incident in this
environment. Help!?

Incidentally, I also have a problem with the 2.0RC report designer preview
window... Seems like these problems are related. Again, I have upgraded
from V1 to 2.0 M2 and 2.0 M3 without incident, so I think I'm doing the
install correctly. Any help GREATLY appreciated.
