Linking upper and lower panels [message #104686] Sun, 25 September 2005 13:55 Go to next message

Somehow I clicked the wrong thing in my Java perspective and lost the
Outline panel. I made it visible again and dragged it back to its old
position underneath the Package Explorer panel on the left hand side of the
workspace. The trouble is that the right edges of the upper and lower panels
used to be linked and now they're not.

By "linked", I mean that when I drag the right edge of one panel to make it
wider or narrower, the other panel ought to change width as well. Now the
right edges move independently.

How do I get them to move as one?

I figured it out, just in case someone googles this post in the future and
has a similar problem.

It's always helpful to read the fine manual. See Workbench User Guide
/Getting Started/Rearranging Views and Editors/Rearranging Views. Just drag
the windows around and note the cursor shape as you do it. Dock the windows
as appropriate to top, bottom, right, left.
