hi,
i'm using eclipse, i believe it's 2.0, can't get it started. it was
working fine with jdk 1.3.1 but i update it today to 1.4.2 and now i keep
getting the following error when i start it:

JVM terminated. Exit code=1
c:\j2sdk1.4.2\bin\javaw.exe
-cp c:\opt\eclipse\startup.jar org.eclipse.core.launcher.Main
-os win32
-ws win32
-arch x86
-showpath c:\opt\eclipse\eclipse.exe -showpath 600

i've trying changing the target for the properties with the shortcut to:
C:\opt\eclipse\eclipse.exe -vm c:\j2sdk1.4.2\bin\javaw.exe
but this results in the same error. i do not have any java.exe or
javaw.exe in my system32 directory, so i'm not sure why this is happening.
i had a similar problem with another pc going from 1.4 to 1.3.1, resolved
that by changing the target property but here it's not working.

Any ideas??

Thank you.

Hi Soni,

JSDK 1.4.2 is supported by eclipse 2.1.1 or later.
