I have installed CDT successfully,but when I want to create a C++project ,but no C++project icon here。Hope someone can help me!

I have the same issue on RHEL 6.2. Have installed natively shipped version of eclipse and CDT.

Does this means that vim and command line tools are better in Linux

Aha,
I have resolved like this.

After installing the base eclipse.
The tricks lies here. run eclipse as root and
#eclipse&

The following you can get from anywhere
and set up the CDT plugin

Help -> install new software -->CDT(details truncated)
