In order to make OSGi & Equinox more approachable to my collaborators and the people that pay my bills I have written a little intro available at http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddr8pzz_35chgsg3dj. I am relatively new to Equinox, so I would really appreciate it, if people reading this forum could give me some feedback and help me improve the document.

Hi,

I'm quite new to Equinox and OSGi too and I haven't yet to defend it
against my boss or somebody else.

I just skimmed over your document and I would add/go into more detail
with two things:

- the lifecycle of bundles and their dynamic nature even at runtime
(INSTALLED - RESOLVED - ACTIVE - RESOLVED - UNINSTALLED)

- the service concept and their dynamic nature at runtime (REGISTER -
UNREGISTER)

I hope this will help you and I wish you good luck with your
collaborators and your boss. ;)

Best regards,
T.Gau

PS:
There is another tutorial which may be interesting for beginners: OSGi
Tutorial http://www.aqute.biz/OSGi/Tutorial

Thank you! I incorporated Peter's presentation. I think his work is terrific. I read a few other things he has posted at http://www.aqute.biz/ in the past, but I missed the tutorial.

I am skipping the description of the states for now. While I agree with you that this is important, I am too lazy to write it up...
