Preference page preview [message #832087] Thu, 29 March 2012 14:56 Go to next message

Hi all,

I'm about to embark on a journey to build preference pages for the BPMN2 Modeler editor and I'm wondering if anyone else has done something similar.

I'm thinking of a preference page that has a bunch of controls to set colors for default, primary selection, secondary selection, etc. for different types of figures. The preference page should also have some kind of a preview window that renders the a figure using the current selections. My question is: is it possible to embed a Graphiti DiagramEditor inside the Preference Pages dialog areas? Has anyone else done this?

Thanks!
Bob

Not exactly, but Graphiti uses a thumbnail viewer for its generic outline.
You might have a look into the (internal) Graphiti class ThumbNailView, that
could give you some hints on this.
