Hello
I am new to Eclipse.
I am attempting to port a java application written in Notepad to the IDE.
This app uses a lot of packages and is working perfectly fine on the dev
server.
Te Eclipse IDE sits on my desktop. Despite importing all relevant jar
files into Eclipse I still see many error messages on the import statements
For e.g. I get an error message stating that the package 'import
org.jdom.JDOMException;' cannot be resolved.
All JDOM packages are in one jar file 'jdom.jar'
When I observe the package explorer I noticed that it shows individual
packages of the JDOM jar file. In it I noticed that the 'jdom' package
itself is missing.
JDOM works fine with the notepad so why is it missing in the Package
explorer.
I have noticed this with other jar files as well.
Can some one tell me what is happening...
Thanks
Naveen
