I want to know about the implementation details of how the symbol table in
cdt is stored in a file after the parsing is done. i have come to know
that it stores a .index file in workspace\.metadata\.plugins\ but i want
to know that how the symbol tables are bieng written.

Are the objects just serialized and written to disc, or is there a special
format that has been adopted to store the symbols on the disc. If any one
can tell that which class is responsible for this task, it would be very
helpfull.
