Job Description
BEA Systems, Inc. is looking for an individual with 5-10 years experience
managing product life-cycles at a Sr. Management or Director level for
software products targeted toward development tool products with an
in-depth knowledge of IT operations. This person will lead a team of
product managers that manages the development of the product roadmaps,
functional requirements, competitive analysis, as well as contribute to
overall product positioning and success of the product.
Qualifications/Necessary Skills
- Proven ability to build and ship market-leading high-tech products.
- Must process an overall understanding of application lifecycle.
- Demonstrate passion for developing great people and ability to lead
strong teams to ambitious goals.
- A deep understanding of the requirements associated with building highly
available and scalable enterprise products.
- Strong technical background in software development and Internet
technologies (Web applications, Java, Web Services)
- Must be extremely customer focused, with excellent communication skills.
- Work with internal and external customer to evangelize a product and
drive consensus around a product's strategy and supporting feature set.
- Work with other departments (Engineering, Marketing, Senior Management)
to successfully drive product delivery to ensure market and customer
objectives.
- Ability to identify and communicate areas of opportunity to develop new
products, enhance current products, or compliment existing third party
products to deliver unique value to the market.
- Develop clear and concise product market requirements documents and
feature descriptions.
Education
- 5-10 years experience in high-tech product delivery and product management
