Hi guys,
could anybody gimme a hint about how to mimic a LOCAL connection to CVS
repository? If impossible, is there any plan to extend current list of
connection options by LOCAL? Thanks,

tom

Try extssh to localhost.

Thanks, but could you be more verbose. I can't figure out how to use
extssh on WinXP desktop.

I suggested extssh to access a local cvs and not pserver because it's
quickest to set up on linux. I don't know what's usually done on
Windows, but Cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com/) is probably required.

Perhaps someone on Windows using "local" cvs can provide a short how-to?

I set up CVSNT (http://www.cvsnt.org/wiki) on my windows box, define a
repository (like c:\cvsrepo), then point eclipse at it. Works like a
charm.

Not as fast as LOCAL, but AFAIK there is no way to set up LOCAL in
eclipse.
