Why, oh why, cannot the JSP editor resolve other names from other =
includes or imports? If you can do it in a java editor, then why not in =
a JSP editor. I tire of seeing the same old errors, that should not be =
errors, in the JSP editor, after so may iterations of this tool.
I tire of the "<symbol> cannot be resolved" message when the <symbol> =
has been declared in another JSP include, or within a class that is =
imported. Frankly, if this can't be fixed, then there is no hope for =
this tool, or the editor, or otherwise, we must write very long JSP's, =
and never included anything, and define all our types in the self-same =
JSP (a very long page, indeed).
Blah,

I am not going tot open a bug report, because one has been opened already,
I'm sure. And NO, don't expect me to like it.
The only known problem is that JSP editior does not support the Flexible
project models yet?
How 'bout the many known problems is that the JSP editor cannot resolve
source files, or pick up symbols and resolve names that are defines in an
inlcude, so that the *including* page throws out errors: cannot resolve
symbol...
Oh, gee, I'm sorry, I was expecting the JSP editor to actually *work* by
now. My mistake!
I will just have to wait a few more iterations before it's all fixed.
Phoowwy...
I will tell you one thing...if this isn't fixed soon, then this tool will be
useless for web development purposes.

Fair enough, but most of those problems originate from the editor
not being able to locate included files. There are, of course,
various *unrelated* problems. And you're right that bug 71223 is
still open (well, reopened). You can add yourself to the bug's CC
list so you'll know as soon as it gets fixed.
