When I want to preview a report by click "Preview" tab in BIRT designer, I

The environment is Windows 2000. I tried Eclipse 3.0.1 + BIRT 1.0.1 and
Eclipse 3.1 + BIRT 2.0M3 but neither helps.

Did you get GEF and EMF?
