Hi all,
If this is posted to the wrong group, please point me to the correct one.
I've been having a problem with 3.0M2 on both Linux and Windows. I've
tried searching through the groups, but didn't find any other
suggestions of this.
When I create a new project, specify the name and the directory, eclipse
thinks for a while then pops up a dialog that says
"An error occured while creating the project. See log file for details.
Reason:
<project name> does not exist."
I can't find a log file in the eclipse directories.
After this, the project appears, but when I right click on it, none of
the properties usually there for java projects exist. So, I've got to
go into eclipse 2.x, create the project, and then import it into 3.0.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Is it a known bug?
(Also, if there is a repository somewhere of known bugs, could someone
point me there?)
Thanks,
Neil

eclipse.tools.jdt is specifically for discussion of the Java Development
Tooling, so this question might be more appropriate over there.
