Error: "resource out of sync" [message #99785] Mon, 29 September 2003 15:17 Go to next message

When I attempt to save, I have been receiving an error message that says
"resource out of sync". I work off a network server and occasionally when
I try to save I get the above error message. I have not changed the "out
of sync" files with any other program.

Is there anyway to ignore this error message? Or any settings I can
change on the server?

My guess is some process on the Server is checking the files before and
after I save them.

I do not experience this problem when saving locally. I have tried to
save on multiple servers and occasionally receive the same error message.

Any help would be great!

It looks like,
it is clear that your resources were modified by some other processes out of
eclipse..
Just try to do "Refresh" resources in eclipse and then You will not get this
type of error nemore..

See bug 35223 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=35223).

See also https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=16280 which is
specifically related
to clearcase. It would be interesting to know if the patch that I have
produced would help
in other network drive cases (particularly if Samba is involved).
