SWT and Swing are both controversial in their own ways. We'd like to know
how you feel about them and ask that you complete the survey found at the
link below.

http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?LMRF8FS5V4C6473LEK2JMBGV

Your information will be kept strictly confidential and won't be used for
any sales purpose. It will be used to help us make strategic product
decisions.

The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete...and you can enter to win a
$100 Amazon.com gift certificate.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and opinions!

Took the survey, but I feel as if I'd have to be a qualified nut to leave
my email address on anything associated with marketing ;)

Me too.

I hate them for it. I didn't bother to look at the survey either - not
even the mail adress was coressponding to the survey's url...

Our email lists our legitimate and are not spam. We are not getting email
addresses from the bug database. Yes we do use a 3rd party Survey system
provider...it is much more efficient to outsource. We feel the subject of
this survey (SWT) is on topic for this forum and we greatly appreciate the
many people who have responded. Once again, the information will be kept
strictly confidential and won't be used for sales purpose. It will be used
to help our client make strategic product decisions.

How did you get my email and emails of other user from this group?

if you don't 'harvest' email addresses how did you get mine (my real
one, not the phoney one here)? i use different email addresses for
different purposes, yet you got the one i use here. i would like to know
very much how you claim to have gotten it. if you did get it from a
legitimate source you are required by law to disclose it upon my request
(al a t thompsonlogic d ot com). please do so now, on this forum.

nobody considers themselves to be a spammer, but the fact is i received
unsolicited, unwanted email from you. last i checked, that's the
definition of spam. it does not matter that you think i might want your
mailings. you thought wrong. i guess if you outsource the collection of
the email addresses you can spam with a clear conscience? the problem
with many businesses today as they feel that adherence to the letter of
the law (and taking advantage of any loopholes) is a substitute for
morality.

I don't mind whether you feel that I would be interested in whatever.

What if I feel you are interested in being kicked? Do I kick you?
Is that what you suggest?

If it is so, please send me your postal address...

What does strictly confidental mean, if you're spamming me?

Posting your survey link to this newsgroup *is* appropriate.
Sending unsolicited email is *not*.

So, I wasn't going to bother commenting on this but.....
I replied to the email and asked to be removed from the email list......
this was on the 11th when these emails started.

I just got yet another email from these idiots asking to take the survey, so
they have ignored my request...... isn't that against the law?

I don't think corona@knowledgeseeker.com can claim this is not spam without
a smirk on his/her/its face

Anyway, I'll never play ball with The KnowledgeSeeker Team

I got spam from them to almost all my email addresses, including my
university account which I almost never use in the outside.

I suggest banning them from this newsgroup :)

Alternatively:
- let's all send spam to them as well
- lets all do the survey and fill in complete nonsense :-)

What does this help?

Are they making a smtp server list for those to ban?

But I don't understand them. They provoke this.
But why do they do the survey if they're not interested in the results?
(They should see how far they go and that this is too far...)
To confirm email-adresses for spamming?
