Hi all,
Like many I'm sure, I watched the viewlet on Grid support and got pretty
excited. Grabbing the latest nightly however, I am unable to do this
free-form editing with Swing. Am I doing something wrong, or is this
SWT only? FWIW, it works like a champ in SWT, but Swing is a
requirement for this little project I'm working on.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the comments on the new SWT Grid support. As of now (1.1) it
will only be for SWT. For 1.2 we will hopefully be enhancing SWT Form
Layout support, and time permitting, possibly adding the current SWT
Grid functionality to Swing Grid. If there is a lot of demand for this
from the community it will probably increase in priority.
Thanks,
Jon

That's unfortunate. Hopefully other Swing users will chime in with
their support for this. I've really come to like VE much better than
the Netbeans GUI editor, simply because it works with code rather than
an XML file. I may have to suck it up this time around though.
Thanks for the information. At least now I know I'm not just totally
incompetent ;-)
Thanks,
Kevin
