When will Timestamp be supported (for Oracle Date type time)? [message #97198]

There have been a couple unanswered posts asking how to retrieve the time
component from an Oracle Date (defaults to 12:00). It appears that only
java.util.Date is supported while java.sql.Timestamp is needed. If this
is not possible, are there plans to include this basic functionality soon?
Until then... back to JasperReports/iReport.
