Hi,

We are new to new Eclipse IDE for EGL web developers and we are trying to create some sample program.

Our scenario is like this, we have one handler program , where we need to get user id and password. This userid and password needs to be validated in the service program.

We need to know how to pass and get back the parameters to the service function( where we are validating against database).

can any one please help us. It will be very helpful if example code is provided

Hi,
Have you seen the tutorial for Creating a login page with Rich UI? That might be a good place to start. While it doesn't read from a database, it has a example of UI auto-generated from a record definition. You can find more info on database connections at http://wiki.eclipse.org/EDT:Resource_Binding_Databases

If you still have questions after reviewing the material, let us know what exactly what area you're having trouble with.

The tutorial really helped us to learn the basics about RICH UI, which we were struggling. Thank you Theresa Ramsey
