I am noticing a lot of duplication of effort betweenthis project and
JBoss-IDE. Is there any work on reconciling the two projects?

The release notes for JBoss-IDE 1.5 milestone 1
( http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=3155 93)
indicate adoption of at least the editors from WTP.
