Hi,

I have installed the following on Red Hat enerprise

eclipse-SDK-3.0.1-linux-motif.zip
GEF-runtime-3.1.1.zip
emf-sdo-runtime-2.1.1.zip
birt-report-framework-2.0M2.zip

The JDK version is 1.4

On running BIRT through eclipse it gives the error-

Unable to instantiate editor
org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.editors.ReportEditor

NoClassDefFoundError

org/eclipse/gef/commands/CommadStack

although the plugins folder in eclipse has org.eclipse.gef_3.1.0.jar which
has the Class file CommandStack in the correct package structure.

Please help to configure BIRT on LINUX with all the details

Thanks in advance

Waiting for the response

install eclipse 3.1.1, no 3.0.1

why you use motif version ? - gtk is much better and have better support
(browser swt_awt etc)
