Dear newsgroup,

I had been using extssh in Eclipse's CVS framework to access my CVS
repository. Recently, the key for the server where the CVS is on changed
since I last access it. As a result, when asking eclipse to access the
CVS, it fails during authentication with the message "Authetication
failure, the server key does not match ... the key had changed or
...man-in-the-middle attack" and ask for my userid and password again. The
problem is I cannot get past this screen: it keeps popping up even after I
reentered the requested information. I will be grateful for any help.

I tried removing the known_host file in my ~/.ssh directory to deprive

Check to see if the known_hosts file exists in
workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.team.cvs.ssh as well. If it
does, remove it. Also, after you remove the files, restart Eclipse so
any internal state is purged. If this doesn't work, log a bug report
against platform VCM.

Dear Michael,

Thank you very much. It works. Sorry for the late reply.I have been
experiencing some network problems lately.

One thing that puzzles me is that after deleting known_hosts, I still get
"man-in-the-middle attack/host change key" warning, but this time I can
get pass this screen. It is my opinion that Eclipse should tell me that it
cannot authenticate the sshd. What do you think? Should I put in a
"request" to the eclipse team?

Best regards,
Sinlee.
