Hi.
To install cdt for every user, unzip the cdt-full-1.2-linux-gtk.zip (or
whatever version you may have downloaded) in your [eclipse_home]/plugins
directory (I would check the contents of the zip files if the path is
correct. I believe in this case eclipse/plugins is even in the zip file,
so you need to unzip this file in [eclipse_home]/../)
To install for a single user, unzip it in the user's home directory.

An alternate way is to check
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/cdt- home/downloads/main.html?cvsroot=Tools_Project
to see which URL you want to add to the update manager. But AFAIK you
can only install for a single user via the update manager (at least on
linux).
