ATL for eclipse 3.4 [message #92642]

Dear All,

I am new to ATL IDE, EMF and mainly new with eclipse. I am trying out the
example author to persons on the user manual.I am using the eclipse 3.4
version.

1)Once i created the Author.km3 file the option to "inject km3 to ecore
metamodel" is not available in the eclipse 3.4

2)The option for drawing the ecore diagram is not available in the 3.4
version.
In the eclipse 3.3 version in the main menu if I choose the menu item
window->show view->other->debug->display .if I right click on the ecore
diagram the option for open with "ecore diagram editor" is available,but
this does not happen in the eclipse 3.4 version.

Which eclipse package have you installed. Most of the things
that you mention are in the modeling package. On the available
software tab of the software updates dialog select the "Models
and Model Development" category from the Ganymede site.

Hi Rodricks,

KM3 toolkit is no longer part of ATL. That's why the action "inject km3
to ecore metamodel" is not available in last ATL version.

As the user manuel is quite old, to start with ATL I advise you the
"Families to Persons" example in "Basic Examples" section:
http://www.eclipse.org/m2m/atl/basicExamples_Patterns/
Moreover the source code is available.
