After creating a J2EE web project, there is a error about web.xml.

The errors below were detected when validating the file j2ee_1_4.xsd via
the file web.xml. In most cases these errors can be detected by
validating j2ee_1_4.xsd directly. However it is possible that errors will
only occur when j2ee_1_4.xsd is validated in the context of web.xml.

2 Referenced file contains errors
(http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/j2ee_1_4.xsd).

can you help me? thanks

You shouldn't see any errors on this file. Please copy the referenced
errors (by right clicking on the Reference file contain errors message and
selecting Details) and paste them in a follow-up post so I can get a
better idea of what's being reported as invalid?

Not sure if this is your problem, but I had a similar problem too. I had to
re-arrange the elements to get the error to go away. The error only happened
in Eclipse. When I moved all the <servlet-mapping> elements to come after
the <servlet> elements, the parsing error went away.l
moved the servlet-mapping elements to come after the servlet tag
