Updating statuses... [message #787297] Tue, 31 January 2012 07:12 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers.

Version: Indigo Service Release 1
Build id: 20110916-0149

I can see Updating statuses... process is going in the Progress View.

It happens sometimes after incremental build or almost always after eclipse was killed during some really long operation in progress (jvm was killed if to be more precise by killall java)

I was thinking that eclipse hangs up forever but I found out that this Updating statuses... process is in progress for about a half of an hour or so. After it message in the status bar changes to the Updating statuses(0%)... and it luckily lasts not so long.

I have huge project in my workspace, ~700 Mb (sources + compiled classes). It's a maven project

Any help to switch off this Updating statuses... whatever process is it will be appreciated.

Try using jstack or VisualVM to see what active threads are running.
