We are looking to adopt for an Eclipse based product a M2M transformation technology and while the QVT technology looks promising and we already manage quite easy to perform a simple transformation of our models with QVTo I'm wondering what is the current project plan.
To me the project does not look very active so I'm asking myself if we should really invest in this or look for something else.
Can someone from the project give a statement?

Hi Robert
The QVTo project is indeed rather stable at present.
When it appeared that QVTo would not form part of the Juno Simultaneous
Release, there was considerable disquiet that prompted distressed
parties to come to QVTo's rescue.
QVTo most certainly has a future.
It is likely that QVTo will evolve together with QVTc and QVTr (see
http://wiki.eclipse.org/M2M/QVT_Declarative_Languages) to exploit the
automated tool-generation that is evolving in the OCL project. This
should then support direct Java generation of QVT and MOFM2T (Acceleo)
transformations.
So, yes invest in it, and if you can, invest by contributing to Eclipse;
we are a very small team working on OMG-related specifications.

Ed Willink
