Hello Ng !
I'm a beginner in c++ programming and I heared that eclpise is a powerful
development tool for c++ programmer.
so I installed eclipse and tried the "HelloWorld" programm which descripes
the way to handle a programm (in the help).
But when I try to "Build a project" it doesn't work. I gat no error and
nothing.

I work under MS 2000 SP3 but i'm not sure about the gnu software (gcc,
make...).
I just downloaded and extracted it. Have I to do more ?

Please help me !
Thank you

How many people will still come into a newsgroup asking questions that have
been answered before and especially how many will not give us any clue,
what kind of versions they got installed?

* OS-Version (ok.)
* Eclipse Version? ... guess 2.1.2??
* CDT Version? ... guess 1.2.0?
* Standard and/or Managed Make Plugin installed too? ... both?
* Which compiler did you install? (Cygwin/MinGW/...any other compiler) .

What did you exactly do when installing?
* Eclipse is at ... ?
* Compiler is ... ?
* Did you set anything to the PATH-variable?

Maybe it sounds a little harsh, but such questions come up a lot and most of
the time, the information contained tends to Zero. We don't sit infornt of
a crystal ball....

What did you extract? What toolchain is that? I guess MinGW cause
of that "download and extracted".
Maybe add it to your PATH variable, though other applications are
able to find the Executables?
