gmf - emf - uml2 version conflict [message #86026]

I have installed GMF 2.0M3. This requires (according to

* Eclipse S-3.3M3
* EMF build 2.3M3

so far all is fine, but then I want to install UML2, it seems that UML2 2.x
(which I need) requires EMF 2.2.0 and does not accept EMF 2.3M3. UML2 1.1.1
however has no problems with EMF 2.3M3.

some background info: Against recommendations above I succeeded using
Eclipse 3.2.1 and GMF 2.0M3... for a while. When working with Canvas links
to connect 2 editors to 1 UML2 model I started to get eclipse core errors.
Hoping to overcome I then decided to upgrade to Eclipse S-3.3M3.

Does this mean I cannot use GMF 2.0M3? Is this a bug? Am I simply stupid?

correction: what I was using before ("...background info:") was eclipse
3.2.1 and GMF 2.0M2, not M3

Did you tried UML2 2.1M3 from http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/downloads/?project=uml2- uml?
Looks like it depends on Eclipse 3.3 M3 and EMF 2.3 M3 - same as prerequisites
for GMF 2.0M3.
