This is the forum for questions about choosing the right Eclipse
package, setting it up, help with the workbench interface and other
Eclipse-specific questions.

Eclipse has myriad other forums, but all are mostly Eclipse-related. In
other words, Java SE or EE questions, yes, but only as they relate to
solving problems in Eclipse. I personally haunt the web tools and JSF
forums (Java EE) in addition to this one.

Which is not to say that no one will entertain your question(s). If not
Eclipse-relevant, someone will tell you (and, I hope, point you to a
better place).

There are forums that are more dedicated to general Java SE/EE
programming questions. My favorite are

http://www.javaranch.com/
http://stackoverflow.com/
http://jguru.com/

The second one gives you a very fast response, but you must understand
your question well enough to figure out whether the answer given is the
best. The first is, for Java questions (there are many subforums),
rather more reflective and you'll usually get very well thought out
answers from a formal Java perspective by lovers of Java. The third is
good too, but I've not used it as much.

Best of luck and happy Java-ing!
