get a popup asking if I'd like to make the files read/write when I make
modifications (a good thing).
However, the popup only appears if the modifications are being made to the
main resource being edited. If additional read only resources are brought
into the editor's editing domain (e.g. through using Create Shortcut),
modifications to model objects in those resources are not recorded. No
prompt appears to make those resources read/write. Instead, GMF seems to
"quietly" ignore the inability to write to these resources if they happen to
be read only.
Ideally, we'd like to see a prompt similar to what you see when you modify
the main resource. Has this already been raised and should a bug be filed?
