I have an Xtext project with generator and ui generated fine, no errors.
And when I try to start a second eclipse instance with the generated plugin I get the following errors:
(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

(SWT:3125): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion `GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed

I am using jdk1.6_29 from Oracle/Sun and Eclipse Helios 3.6.2 on Ubuntu 11.10
I have libdbusmenu-gtk3, libdbusmenu-gtk3-4, appmenu-gtk and appmenu-gtk3 installed.

Has anybody a clue how to overcome this?

Not Xtext related. Seems to be a bug in the native SWT implementation
for your platform.
