Problems deploying on Solaris [message #84464] Wed, 27 September 2006 16:57

I'm trying to profile tomcat running on a remote Solaris box from eclipse
running on my Linux desktop. The RAServer seems to start, I can
successfully test the connection via eclipse on the host tab but no agents
are displayed to be selected via the agents tab.

I'm setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH in both the RAStart.sh and the tomcat
startup script and I've included the $RASERVER_HOME/bin directory in the
path.

A really odd thing is RAServer consumes an entire CPU and won't let it go:

21816 49.9 0.86697614840 ? O 10:45:55 5:23 RAServer

RAServer version:

../RAServer -version
4.2.0.0

The Tomcat process with -XrunpiAgent (note the server=enabled is not
displaying but it's in the script correctly
JAVA_OPTS="-XrunpiAgent:server=enabled")

21766 0.1 2.310508846048 pts/6 S 10:17:33
0:09 /usr/local/j2se/j2sdk1.4.2/bin/java -XrunpiAgent -...

If anyone has any ideas or if more information would help to track this down
let me know what you need.

Thanks!
Kris
