Hi,

I am trying to use Birt integration with my web application. I am doing an
integration at API level, not at servlet level. I have downloaded the
standalone version of the chart engine(1.0.1). I wrote a test program to
create the chart and when I run the program it gives me the following error:

SEVERE: Exception
org.eclipse.birt.chart.exception.ChartException: Unable to locate any
entries for lookup=dv.PNG; element=(name:device) in any plugin.xml file in
all of the available plugins
at
org.eclipse.birt.chart.util.PluginSettings.getPluginXmlObjec t(PluginSettings.java:675)
at
org.eclipse.birt.chart.util.PluginSettings.getDevice(PluginS ettings.java:338)
at
com.uppervision.consoleMgr.reports.ChartBuilder.exportChartT oPNG(ChartBuilder.java:188)
at
com.uppervision.consoleMgr.reports.ChartBuilderTest.main(Cha rtBuilderTest.java:13)

Is there any settings I am missing?

Thanks
Bidyut

Hi!, sorry about my bad english.
I believe that you should download birt-chart-1_0_1, and put the jars
into the same directory of the other jars, and set your CLASSPATH to
access to those jars.

Good Luck.

Thanks. I tried doing that. Also I set the system property to "standalone".
Now I get the following error:

SEVERE: Exception
org.eclipse.birt.chart.exception.ChartException: $NO-RB$ null
at
org.eclipse.birt.chart.factory.Generator.build(Generator.jav a:290)

What is this cryptic error? Sorry, I am new to this charting.

Thanks
Bidyut
