Create MenuItems with VE [message #82186] Fri, 04 March 2005 12:57 Go to next message

Hi.

I can create a MenuBar and Menus with the help of the Visual Editor (VE).
But when I try to put a MenuItem to on of the Menus in the Designer-View,
it doesn't work. I can only drop the selected MenuItem Component to a Menu
in the Java Beans perspective. I also don't know how just to view the
MenuItems of a menu in the design view. I tried to click on a menu and
expected it to pop up, but nothing happens. Is it a bug?

Hope you can help me.
Thanks,
Rebecca

Menus are currently only developed through the Java Beans Viewer. So
what you see is not a bug.

The visuals on the Visual Editor are static snapshots of the live
components. There is no runtime behavior shown on the editor. Things
like combo boxes, scroll bars etc. are shown statically. Running the
visual as a Java Bean would be an option to see how the items look.

Sri.
