Namespace support!? [message #80196] Mon, 15 September 2008 10:34 Go to next message

Hi.

We switched to using namespaces recently (for FLOW3 and TYPO3v5). Now,
while this is the right way to go IMHO, we now suddenly lack quite some
tools.

In the field of PDT this would be support for namespaces in syntax
highlighting and autocompletion.

I found some questions on the topic but no answer that gave me something
more than a sense of depression. Can anybody shed some light on this?

Regards,
Karsten

Hi Karsten,
although we are currently doesn't support it in Eclipse PDT we are having
thoughts about how Eclipse PDT should handle it.

it would be great to hear from the user perspective what kind of specific
requirements do you have. something like -
req #1 - have namespaces code completion for type instantiation for
example ...
req #2 - have specific syntax coloring for namespaces ...

etc.

you can start a thread that people will add their thought and then we can
have an issue in bugzilla that summarizes all of it.

regards,
Roy

Oh, wow. That's cool.

User's perspective. Hm. I thought you guys at Zend actually use PHP from
time to time.

SCNR,

PS: No offense intended. I'll open another thread as requested right away.
