how do I import a android project that I downloaded? I put it in my workspace, but it doesn't appear in Eclipse along with my other projects.

Thanks in advance.

Because it's not an Eclipse project or, it is no longer an Eclipse
project. In order to import an existing project into Eclipse, you must
find the .project file that Eclipse put there in the project originally.

What you can do instead is create a new project, but tell the new
project wizard that you'd like to use the code from... and browse to the
top of the project.

Would you know why this project is not able to be imported?

You're running Windows Vista/7 and don't have write-access to where you
put the Android SDK? I would never put Eclipse or the Android SDK in
Program Files, but locally in the part of the filesystem that belonged
to me. In my case (I'm a Linux guy, but I do also occasionally use
Windoz) C:\Users\russ\dev\eclipse\helios-android and
C:\Users\russ\dev\eclipse\helios-android\android-sdk-windows although
virtually any place is fine, just not in places that are forbidden to
all but the Windows Administrator.
