Hi, my name is Son Huynh. I am currently a student at the University of
Minnesota. I wish to participate in the Google Summer of Code this year,
especially with Eclipse. I am currently using Eclipse for one of my
classes and I think it's great.
I was thinking about creating a Web-Based editor. I browsed around and
came across the RAP project. From what I've read, the RAP project is a
framework for creating web-based applications (please correct me if I'm
wrong). I watched one of the screencasts and it looks as if RAP has
something of an online workbench. I think it would be very useful to
create a web-based editor for coding to include in something like this.
I am just looking for any feedback/input anybody might have. Some
questions I have are if this would be something the Eclipse RAP project
might be interested in, if so, would it make a good GSoC project. This
type of thing might also have been done, if so please let me know.
If this is potentially a good project, please give me any advice on how to
implement something like this.
Thank you!
Son Huynh
