I'm running a fresh installation of PDT 2.0 on Ganymede JEE with Subclipse
1.4.4 installed.

When I'm editing a PHP file in my project and I hit "$" to start typing a
variable name, Eclipse freezes for about 3 seconds and I am then presented
with a list of completely unrelated variables from completely unrelated
other files in the project.

To stop this from happening, I tried to turn off the "Show variables from
other files" option under PHP > Editor > Code Assist. However, the option
keeps reactivating itself no matter how many times I turn it off or hit
Apply. It's making PDT pretty much unusable.
