Code Assist not re-parsing changed jars? [message #79249] Wed, 23 July 2003 10:08 Go to next message

Our common company library jar changes a few times
a day (is replaced by an update) but Code Assist does
not realize that. Found a pretty old bug report (9588)
stating that this was fixed, but for 2.1.0 I can still
see that. Anyone thinks I'm doing something wrong?
cheers, T.

Is this jar an external jar (as opposed to a jar contained in your
workspace)?
If this is the case, you need to manually refresh the project (from the
Package Explorer).

Yes, it is an external jar file included in the build path
of a project where I 'collect' all external jars and I'm just
referencing that project from several other projects.
Just tested a refresh on that common project and it works.
Couldn't there be a watch dog that monitors modification
time stamps of jars on the library path?

Anyway thanx for answering, this already helps a lot.
