Hello,
the shell-transparency does not work in IE8. Interestingly, the shell-title is correct in its transparency but the content is always complete invisible (see attachment).
You can reproduce it by using the controls demo. (click)
IE9 works without any problems.

Hi Ivan,
in IE9 i can't reproduce it as well. Addtionally, IE6 works (see attachment for version details).
No, i'm not using 64-bit version of IE8 (also not the 32-bit version.. at least not for productive purposes :lol:) but it caused the same problems.
Incidentally, i am using Windows 7 64-bit.

I can reproduce the issue with IE8 on Windows XP SP3. Could you open a
bugzilla to track the progress on this bug?

According to this page:

setting opacity on IE8 have a specific syntax:
-ms-filter:"progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=50)";
In IE 5-7 and IE9 the syntax is (we do it in RAP that way):
filter: alpha(opacity=50);
